WWRL 1600 AM in NY is a pretty good semi-liberal station
I stumbled upon this station a few weeks ago when Sam Greenfield was on (I thought it was a woman dj). Lately I've also been tuning in mornings to hear the african american woman and the rabbi (I believe he is a rabbi) who co-host a show as well.

It's just different enough from Air America that I really enjoy flipping back and forth. It's normally an "urban" station whatever that means.

It's a weird feeling to have 2 separate stations on which to hear liberal slanted talk radio.

1. Last I heard, WWRL was an oldies station that featured soul music.
Of course, that was five years ago....

2. That may be some of their music programming...
But every day when I'm driving home it's Sam Greenfield bashing Bush, and every morning it's the other show I mentioned (Hunter is the woman's name I believe and Shea is the jewish fellow's name).

And tonight driving home after 7 it was some psychologist.

3. I like Sam Greenfield. He does sound like an old woman..
but he's a great talk radio jock. I haven't listened to him on WWRL. Does he have his own show or a co-host? Once I caught the show with a cohost and it sucked. The co-host wanted to discuss local issues and Sam is really more into national politics.

4. He flies solo...
His show is really good. More controlled than a Randi Rhodes but no less righteously indignant.

5. Yeah, I like Sam too
I'm glad though that he's a little more politically informed than he was in his WEVD days.
