1. thanks for that, I'll be there in 2 weeks.
Fortunately, my English friends just love a good Bush Bash so I'm actually looking forward to a change in media for a week.

3. me too
or maybe 3 weeks, will have to check the calender. Maybe I should get one of those "I'm sorry our President is an idiot/I didn't vote for him" T-shirts but I'm afraid how they would go over in the airport.

2. Don't take it personal
Most folks don't think you are responsible. I tend to take part in the * bashing, but I always stand up for my country.

7. Lots of layers and a warm rain proof coat or jacket
Lived there and it can get real damp windy cold. Warm socks, hip non winter scarf or bandana.

9. We like Americans fine.
It's just that in common with the rest of the world (and a lot of Americans) we just don't like "Amerika" much these days.

Sorry about the weather here at the moment, by the way.

Just out of interest, how do you find the British press reporting of current events? (I mean the newspapers, not the "red tops" which are concerned only with sex, football and sex. And soap operas. )

10. Hey Democrat in Tallahassee...
Be careful in the British Library.

I worked on building that thing and if you knew my building skills, you'd be a little worried sitting inside there! :)

And make sure you pop next door to check out St.Pancras station before they gut the thing.
It's a truly incredible, beautiful building. Well worth a peek at.

And have a nice warm pint for me, will ya? ;)
