Returning from the DU grave has given me a Christ-complex
Edited on Sat May-08-04 09:48 PM by m-jean03
I will now be using my sense of spiritual supremacy to save all your souls and otherwise answer all of your toughest existential questions for free, 24/7.

Just don't ask me about, you know what. ;-)

1. I keep having dreams that my parents have both returned from the grave.
At least they're no longer nightmares!

Garth Brooks is a form of the Wrath of God

2. OK.
1) What is the origin and purpose of evil in the world?

2) What is the advantage of living a virtuous life?

:)

6. You know, it's really a lot easier just to save souls.
You know, just a little baptism & blessing...???

But I'll try to answer your questions anyway... :-)

Well, evil originates in greed and selfishness.

The only purpose it knows is defeating good.

The advantage of living a virtuous life is so that you may, in your own small way, defeat evil and experience heaven on earth -- or enlightenment, as my friend the Buddha would call it. :)

4. What about reincarnation?
I think it's right on. Plus, it used to be in the Bible before the King James version.

Have you ever met anyone who seemed like an old soul? My daughter, who's 13, is one of those. She's wise beyond her years and always has been. When she was about 3, she told me all about her life before, when she was a big lady and owned a store that sold fancy dresses. Her husband was mean and tried to lock her in a closet.

I've read some books on the subject; some pure hokum, some that make you go "hmmmmmmm....."

So, what say you?

Namaste

8. YOU GUYS!!
Look, isn't it good enough I offered to sav e your souls??? ;-)

Obviously, I am a re-incarnation of Christ. Does that answer your question? :7

No really, I don't know about re-incarnation. I really don't.

It is interesting. I've always had an strong aversion to the sound of machine guns in movies. Maybe it's just natural, maybe it is a reminder from a past life. I haven't met anyone who has been so upset by the noise as I am though.

16. I did see Oscar-
He sends his love, and says he is happily chasing all the mice he can possibly eat! (They all immediately regenerate, of course. It is just part of the heavenly game. :-) )

Thanks, it is good to be back! The grave is too cold and lonely for a social butterfly like m-jesus03. :7

Should I read the book or wait for the movie?

22. If it is anything by William Pitt
You should definitely wait for the movie...;)

As far as life, the universe, and everything -- Well, I would go into a long explanation, but I think repeat viewings of M*A*S*H* and a good long listen to the Family Ties theme song will sum it up more eloquently than I can. ;) Just have Kleenex on hand.
