1. Me too Liberal Vet
Alas, they are so hard to find now. I grew up with a sweet siamese named Smut -- little round head, and a big giant heart. Man, I miss that cat so much. I sure wish I could find another one, but when I look for siamese, all I can find are those with the long thin faces and large ears. They're pretty too, but I really like the "old fashioned" siamese.

P.S. I'm bored too.

I have one named Mariko (or M'iko as I call her) who I have had for 17 years and she is such and angel.

Actually mine is a classic blue point Siamese, but I love all Siamese in fact, and all cats.

3. Nice cat!
I hate the modern Siamese.
The applehead is the way to go.

6. That one ain't mine, but he is purdy....
I posted him as an example for people to see.

I think the modern siamese is neat, but I really prefer the old fashioned ones. They tend be better tempered and healthier than the big eared skinny ones.

Was one such cat. What a great cat he was! And I only paid $5 for him back in 1978.

9. we presently have four appleheads....
Grendel the psycho-kitty, Maxwell (Grendel's son and the sweetest, most lovable cat we've ever known), Mango (who rivals Maxwell for love beast status) and his brother Murphy, who is as standoffish as Mango is gregarious. Maxwell's father, Wallace (the consummate sealpoint applehead) died of FUS two years ago.

We love our appleheads. The bat-boy siamese are way too reptilian looking for my taste.

11. Looks like our beloved Lucy and her brother Charlie Brown
That was the way Siamese cats looked in 1965. I don't even recognize the modern ones.

13. I don't know why the wedge head siamese became more popular...
They don't look much like a siamese to me either. I have had appleheads all my life and while I think the others are cute, they just don't have the same vibe as an applehead for me.

heads." One of mine looks just like the picture......but not as dark yet. I have a sister and brother. Both fetch ond the female does tricks with those feather toys. (No dirty comments please....!:D) But she will jump about five feet in the air if I hold it up. She actually tries to get me to raise the feather each time so she can jump higher. She also can do flips where she almost sumersaults.

I've thought about taking them on the road if the jobs scene gets worse. KoKo's travelling "Siamese Circus."

One beautiful cat and is that one of those (outrageously expensive) lighted indoor plant stands in the background? If so, I am jeallllllllous.

15. here's my Snowshoe Siamese from the Denver Dumb Friend's League
I'm a big fan of the Snowshoe variety, this is the second such we have had in the family. His name is Capuccino for obvious reasons.

Apple head and pretty blue eyes
