WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Heather Specyalski, the 33-year-old woman who faced manslaughter charges in the 1999 death of her boyfriend, has been acquitted.

The controversial case involved a car crash that resulted in the death of Neil Esposito.

Specyalski's attorney had stated that she could not have been driving because she was performing a sex act on her boyfriend at the time. Although that theory was not a major component of the trial, it was raised during Wednesday's closing arguments.
