NOooooo soccer starts in an hour!
I'm scared. We have practice from 9-12 and this is our first practice! Help! I'm envisioning him making us run an obscene distance today... :(

1. Better you than me
I'll have a cold drink around 11 in the air conditioned comforts of my home and think about you.

4. No guts; no glory!
:P

Good luck! You could be practicing in Texas, where the daytime highs are near 100, with humidity.

6. Look at it this way...
many people who will post No Pain, No Gain, Suck it up, Practice Makes Perfect, ect...don't do anything remotely close to a challenging physical activity.

But you are. I get a lot of satisfaction when I train because I know there are many people out there who don't. And I distinguish between can't and don't. Can't means not physically able, and don't means to fucking lazy to do anything but sit in a bar and smoke cigarettes, or stay at home and watch Joe Millionaire why they talk about their glory days as the back-up QB on the HS football team.

So, go out and train, and enjoy the time while you can, because one day you will be too old to run, or you could be in an automobile accident and lose your legs, and just dream about the days when you could run and play soccer.

12. our poor son did that for many years, and he turned out FINE !!
He would go to football practice for a few hours...come home..shower...change and then off to soccer practice for a few hours:(

There's a reason that those sports are best played by teenagers :)

13. I'm with ya..I am killing time before taking the girls to volleyball
practice which started last week. I thinks it more conditioning of the parents to get them used to giving up their lives for 4 months than physical conditioning of the girls. ;-)

I don't know where 2 mile run came from, I wasn't complaining. Two miles is easy.
