Just saw the Alamo - was pleasantly surprised

It was a pretty darned good movie. Not the usual patriotic hoo haa we get from Hollywood. All the characters wee 3-dimensional. Made Santa Ana look like a fool...but from what I've read that is pretty much accurate.

Billy Bob Thornton as David Crockett was excellent!

2. Ahhh yes...but that was not the end of the movie

Ends with the battle of San Jacinto and the surrendering of Santa Ana. Dennis Quaid was also excellent as Sam Houston.
