Watching DC debates with Braun, Sharpton, and Kucinich

and just wondering why with 60% of the voters being Democrats why Democrats have not worked to get mechanism in place for them to vote in other electons? Quite naturally the Republicans wouldn't do it because of Democrat percentage but I somehow think that repubs supporting school vouchers there and what else they may have behind the scenes, may be the ones to run with this issue if they determine it for their good as with the illegal immigrants issue. Democrats certainly had the ups on this for years( as with medicare and social security their own issues) as they held the house and senate, my question is will the repubs be the ones to move this issue too?

If you're asking if most Republicans in Congress would support DC statehood, or letting people in DC vote in Virginia Senate elections, I doubt it.
