Terry Gross exposing neocon hypocrisy
Guests are Richard Perle and David Frum.

They've been speaking very seriously and thoughtfully about this historic, world-changing war on terror.

But Terry asked them about Bush's tax cuts and the Federal Government's failure to fund homeland security, and they both suddenly sounded like very silly, weak Bush supporters.

Now she's going after Perle regarding Global Crossing. :-)

3. Wish i could listen...sounds like a nice contrast to Juan Williams...
piece done earlier this morning. It was as if he wanted to shake their hands and call them "two great americans". Disgusting.

7. Perle was distracted...
Cokie was under the table trying to get a "rise" out of ol' Dan....

(the NPR Swiss Guard will be all over me in a minute, I know, but it was FUN writing that!)

I didn't know Juan specialized in ultra-slow-pitch "Softball"...My daughter could've knocked those out of the park.

8. it was good when she asked about the standard for invasion
paraphrsed: here we used WMD and haven't found any, so can we just go on with saying that we think a regime will someday have WMD?

and all they could come up with was that the inspections would have ended, no WMD's would have been found and the sanctions would have been lifted giving Saddam the freedom to use the oil wealth to actually re-build his WMD programs.

The invasion is still costing many fold times what containing Iraq may have ever costed, I wish she would have pressed this harder on them

16. Perle is a member of the Neocon party. In my opinion this
is a different group than the Republicans. Both are sharing the officeand its powers but they have different agendas. Corporatism for the Repubs and imperialism for the Neocons. That is probably why pErle did not understand domestic issues. When fund raisng by the Repubs is impacted by warmongering by the neocons the Repubs will join in cleaning out the Traitors.

17. But they both have the same goal
World Domination. The repubs will never get rid of the neocons. They may go back to being the crazy aunt they keep in the basement but they won't go away.
