Why did Bush impede an investigation into 9-11 for more than a year, and then only budget 4 million, while Republicans in Congress were willing to spend 70 million investigating a blow job? Which is more important-- if a prez lied about a blow job, or if a prez lied about knowledge of a terrorist attack on this nation?

btw, this doesn't get mentioned by Bush, naturally, because it would make him look so bad, but does Rush ever mention the way that America and international organizations were able to foil the terrorist millennium attack plot? --is Rush too busy claiming "dereliction of duty" to note which sitting president stopped an attack?

Maybe Bush was too busy rigging energy policy to favor Enron and screw the American people to care about what his family friend, bin Laden, was doing. After all, it gave him and his buddies the catalyst they needed to invade Iraq, which, everyone with one ounce of common sense and integrity knows, was NOT connected to Al Qaeda.

Why is Bush distracting man power from the hunt for terrorists to launch a war in Iraq? Why did he lie before Congress to justify this war? Don't give me the b.s. that it was because Saddam was a tyrant.

Last weekend I was chatting with a kindly, 50'ish lady. We were at a local school function and somehow the name Hillary Clinton was dropped in and this lady launched into a tirade of how evil incarnate the Junior Senator from New York was.

In the past, I'd sit back and let the Wingnuts rant...but now, I confront...or in this case, play 50 questions. This lady's rant had "Rushbo" written all over it...even more of a reason to start debunking lies that many people, including this lady, consider truth since they haven't heard another side.

First I stated that if Hillary Clinton was so evil, why was she voted the most admired woman in the country? I knew that would bounce off...so I went a step further, I said how I can't wait when she's elected the first woman President. This woman looked mortified...I smiled like the Cheshire Cat. She said it couldn't happen. So I asked why?

She started into the dittohead garbage of all they put poor Chelsea through by staying with the "creap". I asked her, a divorced woman who had to raise several children on her own when her ex walked on her (she gladly tells anyone who asks that), how losing a parent was on the kids and she started slowing her rant...finally. Then I mentioned that there are a lot of children facing bleak times right now since there isn't money for education or they could be shipped off to fight a dead-end war (and even the Freeper won't argue that one now...and all this lady cared about was someone's libido and the relationship of two married people. My next question was how would she have felt if her life were invaded the way the Clintons were...to completely embarass and destroy them. She couldn't answer...damn straight she couldn't.

Now that I had her attention, I asked my favorite question I strongly suggest to ALL DU'ers who confront even moderate Repugnicans..."Is the country better off than it was 4 years ago". First, this lady did the knee-jerk "of course it is". I followed with the simple "how"? Are you safer to travel today than in 1999? Are American interests around the world safer? Are we closer to a more peaceful world? She went to the economy (totally avoiding Iraq...seems they don't like to discuss that one)...a slam dunk...as she herself just went through a job change...I simply asked "is your job situation better now than it was in 1999?" She moved on of how "moral" this regime was...there was the opening to question about this invasion and the many scandals and how the media is covering things.

I asked her how she knew this was a more moral government. She said that's what she heard (buzz: Rushbo, O'Reilly & Ophra)...how the GOOP represented America (Country muzak) and how liberals (never used the word Democrat) are for promescuity (gays, abortion). I asked her if she knew how many people are hungry tonight in this country...live in fear of either physical or economic ruin and how polarized this country is. I asked how her manchild (of course we used the name...Mr. Bush) had united the country as promised...then clicked down a bunch of promises turned lies...nation building, no child left behind and so on. Then I asked, "how moral are people who lie about the best interests of our children"...at that point a crowd had gathered around us.

It was time to strike while the iron was hot. First, I smiled and complimented her on how I appreciated her interest in events (yes, I was laughing inside) and how she needs to QUESTION what's going on. No, I'm not expecting miracles, but the least one can do is challenge someone who thinks they're informed to expand their knowledge base. I then said to her...take a closer look at things...see how you've been treated (not duped) and how another four years of what's going on will affect you and your future. There was a definite hush all around. I smiled and then asked about how everyone's New Years was.

A lot of Dittoheads are conflicted...they know their "leader" has been winged...not by the "liberals", but by his own avarice, but they are in a denial as refuting the fat tub of protoplasm means going back on years of unchallenged lies and fabrications. This won't be easy and take long...and not all Freepers and Dittoheads are salvagable...honestly, who'd want those waste of neurons? But there are a large number who just need the push in another direction...and either hope they see the light, or at least get so frustrated they just stay home next November.

I think he could never get his fathers approval. I always imagine his homelife like an nightmare episode of 'All in the Family'.
