"Uncovered the whole truth about the Iraq war" .avi download
Edited on Wed Dec-31-03 04:47 PM by BEFOREATHOUGHT
On edit- the video play is notably slower than the audio play. The audio/video synchronization is off by 1-2 seconds, does anyone know how to fix this? Terwilliger had this same problem. GRRRR

For high speed users only lets hope we don't bring down the server.

if it helps, I could encode it as an .MOV file

17. Quicktime Pro doesn't understand the AVI file, even with the codecs...
downloaded below. Windows Media Player only played audio until I downloaded the codecs, then it played the video fine. I'm now using Sonic MyDVD to create a VCD of the AVI. This should yield an MPG that quicktime may like better. (enough acronyms for ya?)

The whole exercise is to try to create a smaller .MOV Quicktime file. I'll let you know if it works.

26. Update: I made the MPG (566 Mb), I'm making the MOV...
The Mpg should play (with synchronized audio) in any player, but is still too big IMHO. I'll let you know how big the MOV (Quicktime file) is.

of encoding. It was 470 megs at that time, so the "smaller" version wouldn't have happened anyways. If anyone PMs me an upload address and instructions, I'll be glad to upload the VCD quality MPG file.

On Edit:

I have ADSL and I upload at 56K. I just did the math and that would be 22 hours of uploading! I'm thinking that wouldn't be practical.

28. Hey...another Mac user!
- I'm in the middle of a video project...so I don't have the time to convert files. Many of us would love it if you could come up with a .mov quicktime file.

- Thanks for any help.

because streaming Quicktime is easier to setup on prototype websites.

7. Might I suggest also...
sending the makers of the film some money if you can spare it. We must make sure that these people can make more films like this and "Unprecedented". They also need to get paid for their heroic efforts.

5. Thanks. I've been reading about this documentary
And I've been looking on Kazaa and Limewire, to not much avail (it was there, but not enough sources available).

I'll put this in my shared folder too. Sorry, Ashcroft, this one's legal.

13. New CODEC worked for me
At first it wouldn't play in Real Player for me, but I downloaded 5.1.1 (I think) and now it seems to play fine, at least the first couple of minutes.

10. I can't get it to play on Mac OS X
(Panther 10.3.2) in QuickTime 6.5 -- I'm getting audio but no video. I'm missing a codec or something, I know very little about video, can any knowledgeable mac people offer advice? I already have DivX 5.1 installed but that doesn't seem to be helping much.

15. Windows Media Player is working.
Couldn't get the video to play on Real Player. Downloaded updates, but still wouldn't show the video, only had audio.

Right clicked on the file, and opened it with Windows Media Player instead, and everything seems to be working fine.

Don't know if this will help anyone else, but thought I'd share it.
