Episcopal Anti-Gay Movement Stalls
http://www.365gay.com/newscontent/122703angRt.htm

Support for a breakaway movement in the Episcopal Church over the consecration of an openly gay bishop appears to be stalling.

Last month the American Anglican Council said that 13 dioceses across the country had joined a Network of Anglican Communion Dioceses and Parishes, but today, the moderator of the the network confirmed that only three dioceses have formally joined.

Pittsburgh Bishop Robert Duncan said he was optimistic the other 10 other dioceses whose bishops support the "traditionalist" network would soon join. But, moderates in the Church have their doubts.

3. This just goes to show...
That, apparently, SOMEBODY in those Dioceses is waking up to the reality of what's right...namely, that God really does love EVERYBODY!

The rector of my church voted FOR Rev. Robinson to become a Bishop, and I never fail to tell him how proud his vote made me, even though I'm straight. "The church's mission is supposed to be about INCLUSION, not discrimination", he told me. Why can't the delegates from those other Parishes and Dioceses bring themselves to look beyond a person's sexual orientation when determining whether they're "morally attuned" to be ordained a priest, or a Bishop?

B-)

4. I don't know...
But if I ever become a member of a conservative subdenomination of Anglicanism, I'll be sure to have my list of questions about any prospective bishop's dietary habits and position on slavery. ;-)
