Will mad cow disease trump Valerine Plame?
I'm really worry that the media will get so carried away covering MAD COW DISEASE, they'll forget all about CIA agent Valerie Plame, who was smoked out by the White House!

1. I think they have sent her packing already.
These things do sit in the back of peoples mind. Has the mad cow thing turned up because of the "new" rules Bush signed up for? I am sure he rolled back Food rules.

2. The CIA outing will live as long as the Dixie Chick controversy
survives. The CIA outing is a great trump card for anyone who criticizes the Dixie Chicks for criticizing the president overseas. My canned answer when someone brings up the Dixie Chicks is that other countries expect us to speak freely because we're Americans and the only ones who seem to protest are Republicans who want to censor criticism against a Republican president. Moreover, I would think that making a comment that would out a CIA operative overseas would cause more protest among Republicans because it crosses the line into treason, compared to someone who made a mild criticism that they were ashamed that the President was from Texas.

Sheesh. Did you know that most of these idiot Republicans don't even know the context of the criticism? Once they hear it, they feel pretty foolish.

3. Didn't everyone already forget about that weeks ago?
Honestly. Didn't the Jacko and Kobe stories trump that one? Too much thinking involved in the Plame case. We all just want to see celebrities doing bad things.

4. No!
Because the beef industry is very powerful, the government has a responsible to protect it. The cover-up will come faster and more complete than Mr. Wilson's wife.

The "Mad Disease" will be smoothed over in no time flat. 'Tis a trillion dollar a year business. Check out the UK in 1994.

Maybe the trillion dollars is a little high.

6. You know, if it was Clinton, they would have held an impeachment by now
for failing to properly investigate treason.

7. The news media is like a small child or smart animal.
They are easily distracted by bright, shiny objects.

11. Vanity Fair
I guess the glamor spread in Vanity Fair magazine wasn't enough to keep our attention focused on the Wilson-Plames. A photo spread and a softball article: that's taking it to the streets. I am so proud.
