SUSAN CANDIOTTI, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Limbaugh's lawyers are appealing a ruling allowing investigators to pour through his medical records, looking for possible evidence of doctor shopping. Limbaugh used his radio show to respond by reading a statement from his lawyer.

RUSH LIMBAUGH, RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: "Mr. Limbaugh was not doctor shopping. He is -- he should not have to sacrifice his privacy to prove his innocence.

CANDIOTTI: In his order, Palm Beach Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Winikoff wrote: "The state has clearly demonstrated the relevance or nexus between seizing Mr. Limbaugh's medical records and this ongoing criminal investigation." In court records, investigators have said these drugstore records listing more than 2,000 pills from four doctors in six months might indicate Limbaugh was getting overlapping prescriptions illegally. Limbaugh declared himself a target of well- connected political enemies.

LIMBAUGH: The Democrats in this country still cannot defeat me in the arena of political ideas. And so now, they're trying to do so in the court of public opinion and the legal system.

CANDIOTTI: Prosecutors had no comment, and issued only a statement about the sealed review of Limbaugh's medical records. "The court specifically finds that the state acted in good faith."

Limbaugh argues investigators are singling him out because of his celebrity. Some legal experts agree it may look that way, yet...

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You've got laws on the book which that prosecutor cannot ignore. So they have got to play this out, complete an investigation, rather than run the risk of being accused of rich man's justice.

Bwaaaaaaaaaa-it's the Democrat's fault. Did the Democrats shove him to the ground and stuff pills into his mouth? Did the Democrats hold a gun to his head and force him to buy pills illegally? Did the Democrats put him into a choke hold in order to make him withdraw money to give to his maid to make his drug buys?

How the hell can it be the Democrats fault? He lives/works in a Republican controlled state which is part of a larger Republican controlled country - fer pete's sake you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a damn republican

He's beginning to remind me of Lenny Bruce's last days when Lenny read his court transcripts on the stage - are the ditto heads in for the same thing with Rush just ranting and reading court transcripts?

Part of the rehab process is accepting responsibility - looks like Rush hasn't learned that. Al Franken had the book title wrong - instead of "Rush Libaugh is a big fat idiot" - it should have been "Rush Limbaugh is big fat hypocrite"

He should just make one final remark about how he is sorry and he made a mistake. Ask forgiveness. Then make brief statement about how it is being blown out of proportion and used for political reasons by the left. Then he should have shut up about it and let the dittoheads defend him.

9. You know why I despise Rush?

Because he lies.
Because he has done more to destroy the civil relationship between Dems and Repugs than any other person (except Snoot Gingrich).
Because he is a hypocrite.
Because he has spewed such hatred in a drug-induced state and the repugs think it's ok.
Because he is a fake. He went thru rehab and we all know that rehab is a major life change. It usually includes "12-stepping it" and he has NOT apologized to ONE person.
He abhors Clinton. Why? Because "he got the girl." Rush aka Jeff Christie is gay and uses "beards" as his wives. Did I say wives? Oh yeah, he's what, on his 3rd or 4th? That doesn't seem to bother the ditto-heads. Also, no religion here. That doesn't seem to bother the ditto-heads.
This man will OD - mark my words. He is still using.
