BYE BYE LEIBERMAN
Edited on Mon Jul-28-03 06:47 PM by swinney
He is out of my sights.

He was on c-span today and said "I strongly disagree with the way the President misled us into war. However, I am for the war. It was to
protect our security and the security of the world."

Blarney Baloney. Saddam was a threat only---only-- to his political opponents in Baghdad.

Surrounding countries were not afraid of him.

6,000 miles from our shores and a threat? Bull. Stupid.

Saddam had no military. Saddam had no surplus of money.

Saddam had sanctions on him for years and fly-overs daily inspecting his actions.

He had the --eye in the sky--- counting fleas on the back of his dog.

HISTORY WILL RECORD THIS WAR AS A DAMNABLE ACT OF A BUNCH OF CHICKENHAWKS.

IT WILL BE A SAD STORY AND BLACK MARK ON AMERICA'S HISTORY.

6. I've always heartily disliked Holy Joe
...mostly for his courageous stand protecting the insurance industry from the American people. That he's a fool for the war doesn't surprise me.

However, it will be with a heavy heart that I cast my vote for him in 2004, if that is what the DLC insists on giving us in place of a Democratic candidate.

It really is ANYBODY but BUSH!

5. The situation we are facing is still highly fluid, so
it is really a double]edged sword for anybody....
one tragic terrorist attack could change a political perspective completely.

7. Just War? Sweet Jesus!
Lieberman is as full of shit as a xmus goose. I don't know who made out by this war. Maybe Israel. Sure as shit not most Americans, and not most Iraqis. Lieberman is grasping for straws. He should just give up and sink to the bottom.

10. What do you mean by "a microscope"?
(Note that no one has called to attention Holy Joe's shameless pandering to the Cuban-Floridian community). Seriously, what repercussions are you describing?

I believe he should be put under close scrutiny as to his real motives for being in the race.

9. "Surrounding countries were not afraid of him. "
Yup.

The Syrian ambassador a day or so ago on Cspan put it nicely "Why would he be a threat to us if he can't even control his own contry entirely?"

14. 30 years from now
It will be placed into disney-fied textbooks and spoonfed to our children or grandchildren as another great American triumph. Christ, my american history book touched on the Vietnam war for like 45 minutes, not mentioning the Gulf of Tonkin or the hippy culture/protests.
