Ridge: 'Chatter same level as 911' Admission that they ignored it?
If there is so much chatter that they have to raise the terror alert because of it- why didn't Bush* and his henchmen do ANYTHING about it the first time?

I believe this statement is going to come back to haunt Tom ...

1. i thought the EXACT same thing!
what 'chatter'??? the chatter, they IGNORED and/or disregarded???

man o man these goons burn me up...

as an avid conspiracy theory follower this kinda thing is right up my alley...

it is not a stretch of the imagination that this administration would blow something up to justfy that sham of a cabinet position...oooh we can't have an administration change we're in grave danger...ooooh!

grrr...

3. Well let's follow it logically...
I'm paraphrasing-

Ridge: 'This is the same kind of chatter we saw before 911'.

Spectator: 'You heard chatter of this calibre before 911 and didn't do anything about it? Yet now you put the whole nation on alert for the equivilant level?'

Ridge: 'Howard Dean is too Angry!'

End of Interview

2. They didn't do anything because
they thought they would just be "traditional hijackings".

a pillar of truth, a beacon of hope...

primary in-fighting aside, we need to gather together when we have our candidate and change things...this is more evident to me as each day passes...

10. maybe they did think that
maybe the contract with the Saudis called for 'traditional hijackings' which BRAVE COMMANDER BUSH would thwart, protecting the Murrikans...

14. Scary Cheney
Sort of a tangent, but this is from your link:

Cheney called Democratic criticism "deeply disturbing" and warned foes to tread lightly. "They need to be very cautious and not seek political advantage by making incendiary comments," he said in a speech to New York conservatives.

Goon. That's what comes to mind when I read this Cheney quote. And Thug.

16. Traditional Hijackings
those would have been "OK". They say that the FAA and airlines had been briefed or warned. Bull F)(*&^% Shit. The airlines nor the crews were warned about squat. My husband and I are both with American Airlines and there was NOTHING. My husband is a Captain who flys International on the Airbus 300 which flys primairly overseas to Europe and the Carribean and they were told NOTHING. So if they say they were warned about threats about overseas why were the airlines not told to at least warn there overseas operations. This is BullShit!!!!! Sorry about the profanity. I work as a Flight Attendant in the international operation, we are both based in of all places New York, we heard not a peep. Even though I was on a leave I recieve company e-mail daily and there was (guess) NOTHING.

Because they were shorting AA and UA stock weeks before 9/11. The FBI just recently shut down the investigation with no answers as to who made the trades....wonder why?
