Time: 10 Questions with Dennis Miller

:boring:

Huh? Oh..... sorry. Nodded off.

Anyhoo, hear what that crazy and wacky neocon comic </sarcasm> has to say about politics, SNL, how many brown shirts he has in his closet, and the art of being unfunny:

Your politics have drifted right in recent years. How come? I'm left on a lot of things. If two gay guys want to get married, I could care less. If a nut case from overseas wants to blow up their wedding, that's when I'm right. (Sept. 11) was a big thing for me. I was saying to liberal America, "Well, what are you offering?" And they said, "Well, we're not going to protect you, and we want some more money." That didn't interest me.

Who in politics inspires you? George Bush. He's been dealt an amazingly heavy hand of cards here, and I think he's doing his best ... Bush had the balls to start something that's not gonna be finished in his lifetime. The liquidation of terrorism is not gonna happen for a long time. But to take the first step? Ballsy.

uhhh, excuse me for a second...:puke:

Oh? There's more?

What's it like wearing women's clothing? Very emasculating. I feel like Ann Coulter, only with a smaller package.

(note: I made the last one up.)

1. Interesting read
He made some interesting points, but I just can't agree. I think the main reason is that I don't buy into the Neocon, PNAC bullshit. But thats just me.

He is, however, dead on about the average American really not giving a shit about politics. Hell, if more Americans cared about what was going on, that smirking fuckass in the White House would have been impeached ten times over by now.

But there is a lot of reich wing BS there, too, of course. The line about liberals not wanting to protect Americans, and rather just wanting more money is a load of shit. Isn't it the upper class who got three years of billions of dollars in tax cuts?

And then the line about Bush having been dealt a heavy deck of cards: Yeah, that may be true, but he rigged the game and dealt the cards to himself. So, I don't give a shit if things are hard for him. Wake the fuck up, he is the president, it isn't supposed to be a cakewalk.

2. I especially like the logic in this one...
Explain how the war in Iraq makes sense to you as a response to 9/11. Like there's no chance that the secular state of Iraq and Islamic fundamentalists cohabitate? They both think we're Satan. How about that as a nice point of departure for them car-pooling? I wish there was a country called al-Qaedia that we could have invaded, but there wasn't. (Saddam was) the only one who had a home address.

So much for this idiot having any brains or morals. He even brings up the argument that there is no Saddam-Qaeda link and then blows it off with a joke. And I'm sorry, but since Bin Laden is countryless it follows that we can invade any country we like? B-)
