1. Not to be too cute, but
so what?

His capture/death will accomplish exactly nothing.

3. Whose capture? U.S.: 'Noose Is Tightening' Around Saddam
http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/story/0,1280,-2960763,00.html

If you read my links above, they are all stories about OBL

I was making a little humor because just just over a year ago

the same Headlines were about a different boogieman

I agree with your assessment of the outcome

4. Well, it'll keep Osama from talking.
> His capture/death will accomplish exactly nothing.

Osama's death will keep him from talking ("spilling the beans"),
and that's a big, big win for the BFEE.

Same for Saddam.

2. Yup, poor OBL, that noose is good 'n' tight by now
Wonder how he's managing to breathe, much less keep eluding our forces month after month. I guess the whole noose-tightening thing just isn't what it used to be back in the good ole Texas posse days. One might almost suspect a certain amount of pentagon/media exaggeration is going on now with all the noose-tightening news about Saddam. But it would take an awfully suspicious and unpatriotic sensibility to think something like that.

5. Who's this Osama guy?
<sarcasm>
Why are going after this guy when we should be going after Saddam, the guy who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks?
</sarcasm>
