Is Bush going to sell out Taiwan?
Just seeing about the newsconfrence with Bush and the chinese premier.

Will/would Bush let China have Taiwan in order to keep the trade going, or so we could get thier help with Korea?

What do you think?

9. The Chicomms have been VERY explicit over that...
it's not Bush. Successive US administrations since Carter have engaged in this silly dance over Taiwan...as long as no one says the forbidden word independence, the PRC is content to let sleeping dogs lie...never mind that Taiwan has de facto independece.

However, it looks like the PRC is ratcheting up the pressure on the US now, as they have us ove a barrel re the whole North Korea deal. What's surprising, though, is Bush making his overtures to Pres. Chen public.

3. In a heart beat
The Communist Chinese LOVE the Bush Crime Family. They have a LONG history together. Tianmne Square solidified their relationship. The Bushies only wish that THEY could put down dissent the same way.

6. "We're not going to cut and run."
Edited on Tue Dec-09-03 11:52 AM by jokerman2004
He said that about Iraq. Just watch!

But now I guess he's just coming out and warning Taiwan he has every intention of using the "cut and run tactic" if there is a confrontation with China.

I say Emperor Punchy has already sold them out.

Wow. Bush is the most predictable weasily little conniver I've ever seen in public office. How can he NOT be an embarrassment to the Republicans?
