6. Oh please, he's an independent my ass
Liberal celebs get welcome mat from likes of Letterman

How many times have he complained about Dennis Miller spouting his political views unchallenged on the Jay Leno show?

7. Interesting article, but

I disagree with his opinion about Leno and Oprah. Leno whored like nobody's business for Arnold and Oprah is also responsible for more than a few votes for "Der Gropenator." To say they either book both sides evenly (Leno) or are pretty non-political (Oprah) means the author hasn't been paying much attention lately.

I really like Oprah and am willing to give her another chance because I think she is pretty liberal in her views--but she really missed the boat with Arnold and worked against her own best interests by supporting his candidacy with her soft-soap interview prior to the CA recall.

Leno--well, fuck him. With his endless, tired Clinton/Monica jokes (especially with such a juicy target in the current white house), everyotherdamnweek Dennis Miller bookings, and just plain whoring for Arnold, well, even-handed he is not. Him I give up on. The Fruitcake Lady rocks, tho!

10. I only hope
that Dave picks up on this & starts picking on Bill! Look how upset Bill got when Al Franken started picking on him. If Dave were smart, he'd get plenty of material by targetting Bill! Perhaps the nightly "Bill O'Reilly is a blotch faced windbag" part of the show where he shows a clip of O'Reilly in the same way he shows Dr.Phil or Bush. I'll bet O'Reilly would threaten to sue!

9. I couldn't get the article to load....
But I was listening to OReilly on Friday, and will assume it's what you referenced.

He was complaining that Letterman did not give equal time to the conservative viewpoint. And cried that no Fox News personalities have been on.

I think he is a bit impressed with his star power,

because he seems to think that Letterman having actors and actresses on, (ie the hollywood elite) that it should be balanced with equal time by newcasters......

someones a bit full of himself huh?

12. O'Really should be careful what he asks for...
No way could any Fux "personality" sit across from Letterman and not be made to look like a total ass--and Letterman would be so subtle about it the "personality" wouldn't even know what happened.

Hell, I'd loooove to see O'Really try to take on Letterman on Letterman's own turf! Bring 'em on, I say!

15. Has O'Realliy seen cable news ratings?
They dont exactly warrent bookings with the top late night shows. Lets just hope that republicans dont somehow succeed in cleaning out hollywood in the same way they cleaned out the media.

11. He acknowledges the message
then attackes the messengers. He'd do better to focus on the grain of truth he acknowledgres, then ignores:

The message is getting stronger and louder: Bush is a menace.

16. I think you're missing the target on Leno
Edited on Mon Dec-08-03 09:35 PM by Pinko Commie
You're right that Leno is not really balanced in the guests he books. And he often tries to marginalize liberal leaning guests, while letting the conservatives off easy. And he seems to classify himself an independent.

But the point I think you're all missing is that Leno's an ass-kisser, so he'll go which ever way the wind blows. Of course, this makes him even worse, in my opinion.

How much you wanna bet that, if and when the country (and the media) gets back to making liberal sense again, Jay comes to Jesus.

17. Here is what really kills me about OReally and insHannity
These guys bitch daily about the liberal media and how celebraties have money and access to the mainstream. Meanwhile they have each had books on the Bestseller lists, they both have nationally syndicated radio show, and they both have their own TV shows on a major televesion news network.

Wake up, assholes! YOU ARE THE MEDIA!!!!!!!

18. Having Bill O'Reilly write an article about bias in the media..
..is pretty goddamn ironic.
Yes, Bill O'Reilly of ALL people, is THE authority on which shows are biased or fair. Have you ever even seen your own show, Bill?
