4. You are always fun to read.
That Lieberman banner is hysterical. If Kerry doesn't pull in some serious cash ($4-6+ million) that's the first sign. The second is a poor finish in NH. I bet that if he gets worse than second he is gone.

Perhaps Clark the most. I could see Gephardt gaining nationally as he is a traditional time honored democratic party figure, but I think all the candidates could end up gaining support from this.

6. If he's a loyal and smart
democrat and does not have a vengence on his mind....He must back the front runner. To win, we need a united front. I don't trust the guy to do whats best to evict *scrub. He may wait for Hillary in 08.

7. Drop out?
Edited on Wed Dec-03-03 09:55 AM by GreenArrow
Why would the Democratic party nominee for president drop out? The 40% of undecided primary voters might love and respect James Baker and see him as an honorable man. Might pull in some disgruntled Republicans as well.

I can see Kucinich and Gephardt gaining from JFK's departure.

8. Clark would benefit the most....
I think he'd endorse Clark. With all the Kerry/Dean infighting, I feel less sure about his supporters backing Dean.

the second choice of most Kerry supporters is Howard Dean. Nationally I can't say.

18. Do you have a link to the polls?
In MA, Kerry supporters I know prefer Clark and Edwards.

13. Kerry will endorse Clark....
and it's simple....Clark's economic ideaology is more in line with Kerry. Simply stated Dean's plan for rolling back the entire Bush tax package is paramount to raising taxes on the middle class of this country. This is something Kerry has never stood for.

14. If Kerry drops out (which seems a bit soon right now)
A. He'll endorse Clark, because by then it will be a two or three tier race and it'll probably be Clark v. Dean.

B. I'd guess his supporters would support Clark.

20. He won't drop out...
early enough to make a difference. By then, he will endorse either the clear frontrunner (as a good Dem would) or either Gep or Clark if they are running close enough to Dean.

21. he will endorse Hilary...
Hilary Duff that is.

:)

He if and when Howard Dean loses next month in the NH Primary, just how ugly and psychotic will he supporters on the DU become?
Je's curious...I sense serious unpleasantness on the horizon unless the Deaniacs get their toy on their terms.
