Iraqis not sure of Saddam's sons deaths
Iraqis need more proof

Headshots have shown Uday and Qusay Hussein's blood-spattered faces after they were killed by US forces in a fierce gun battle on Tuesday.

One of the pictures shows the bearded, shaven-headed Uday, 39, lying on a plastic sheet with a gaping wound obliterating part of his nose and upper lip.

A hand in a purple rubber glove holds the head to turn it towards the camera.

Another shows Qusay, 37, Saddam's heir apparent, with his eyes closed and mouth hanging open. Trickles of blood have congealed inside one of his ears.

Military officers said Uday appeared to have been killed by a bullet in the head, but it was not yet known whether he had been shot by US soldiers or had committed suicide.

"This is a US ploy to try to break the spirit of the resistance," said Jassim al-Robai, a computer engineer who was sitting in a restaurant with two friends in Baghdad.
