"GOP STARTING TO WORRY ABOUT BUSH"
AP - For the first time since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, rank-and-file Republicans say they are worried about President Bush's re-election chances based on the feeble economy, the rising death toll in Iraq and questions about his credibility. . . The worries emerged as . . . nearly two dozen GOP stalwarts were interviewed by The Associated Press in advance of the Republican National Committee's meeting this week in New York, site of the 2004 GOP presidential convention and the starting point of Bush's wartime surge in popularity.

NOW, SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY BILL CLINTON DEFENDED THE UNELECTED PRESIDENT IN LIGHT OF THIS INFORMATION?

Yeah, maybe there is something to be said for this Hillary in 2008 thing.

3. I think it's very funny what Clinton is doing.
He's mocking the Repugs. He doesn't sincerely believe we should move on, he's comparing the indiscretions for which he was impeached with the limitless incompetence and evil of what Bush is doing. It's actually very funny,

4. The fact is we don't know what Clinton is doing.
He's way ahead of the game...as usual. I don't understand it, but I don't think he is saying what he has said to help *. No way.

5. He may just be reminding folks
what a real president sounds like. What a real president might say or do to put the country back together - as opposed to a gimpy little squint who hunches around sulking and making vendetta lists.

10. You don't understand clinton, honey
He is a weakling that wants everybody to like him. Dems already like him and he mistakenly thinks if he acts nice to bush, then the repugs will like him too.

12. He is a Rhodes Scholar, after all. Not exactly dumb.
"Smart as a fox".

At least that is what I have told myself over the last 24 hours.

14. funny to you, maybe
gosh, you have to be a real sophisticated person to get that I guess.

Wait, you just have to really worship Clinton to believe that crap.

Give me a break, you're really in fantasyland here. You sound like one of those people at the freeper site, trying desperately to rationalize.

Clinton's a repub-lite. He's being a pussy. As usual, he's trying to make everyone happy, not piss anyone off, and have everyone LIKE him.

It's kind of a gross manifestation of whatever personality disorder he's got.

The guy can't even get outraged at mass murder and criminal abuse of power.

Like me, like me!!!!

7. Clinton's Wisdom
I truly think that if the democrats want to win in 2004 they should listen to slick Will. The guy knows how to beat repukes like noone else. Just look at the 1992 election. Bill, however much of a centrist farmboy he appears to be, is a valuable resource.

13. Clinton: best Republican president Ever!!
Give me a break on the Clinton-worship. The guy's a repub-lite if there ever was one.

We only like him because THEY hated him so much.

And he kicked their asses. Twice.

But he's still one of those centrist guys that we all despise, right? Right.

He probably backs Lieberman in 04.

15. I'm not a Clinton worshipper but he may have more up his sleeve

than his arm. Perhaps he knew Tuesday night what we learned Wednesday night about the 9/11 investigation report coming out Thursday? In other words:

Clinton says something to the effect of -- Yes, let's not worry too much about the uranium-from-Niger stories, anyone can make a mistake and after all Saddam had WMDs in the past.

Clinton thinks to himself -- And Thursday the other shoe drops -- Saddam's "ties to Al Qaeda" are debunked by the investigation, which also concludes Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. And Cowboy Junior's ass is grass, BWAHAAHAA.

Then again, maybe he wants Dubya to get another term and give Hillary her shot in 2008. However, if a Dem's elected in 2004 and serves two terms, that still allows Hillary a shot in 2012, when she'll be what, 64? That's youngish for the presidency, and younger for a woman than a man, too. Are the four years between 2008 and 2012 that important to her plans? (Does she even plan to run? I suppose Bill knows but I don't.)

17. Clinton is one of the Best we ever had. The Pubs attempt to denigrate him
but history will show Bill was a good Prez for America. Its the Pubs who are taking America down the tube and of course, they will try to burn/blame the Dem Party

The Pubs play extra nasty but that don make them right. If anything, it just reveals the selfserving greed they possess.

16. He's up to something
Remember that he beat the snot out of the Pukes in '96 by seeming like he was pandering to them. That and his approval rating went up during the impeachment trial. He knows how to play these guys like a well-tuned guitar, I just wish I knew what song he has in mind.
