Its past Mid October - Did that big News ever hit DU?

Someone posted a bunch about some earthshaking news that would hit DU in Mid October. It was gonna be huge, anyone recall what transpired with that? If so, I missed it. I've been looking forward to something big (any big news will do) and though I am on daily, I don't believe I missed the announcement. Maybe I just wanted something REALLY big and it was only kinda big?

didn't recall that part. The one poster I was thinking of worked for a news source - perhaps CNN, if I am remembering correctly.
