Has anyone had a disrupter lie about your post (prev edit?)
In a previous edit? This happened to me the other day. Someone prvt messaged me and said that this person is a known freeper/disrupter.

Has anyone had this tactic used on them?

This guy accused me of saying I thought someone was not a liberal for doing something I pointed out. I didn't say this, as for one thing, I'm not into those litmus type tests on who's a liberal and who's not, and secondly the person I was criticizing is clearly liberal and I wouldn't say otherwise just for sake of invective.

1. When somebody does that to you, hit "alert."
The mods here have always been great about deleting messages from disruptors, but they need a heads up when it happens.

The only PM you need to send to the jerk is "gotcha."

3. He actually did it to me. When I called him a liar.
And then my defensive response was eliminated by a moderator.

How about that?

6. Disruptors LIVE for that stuff
WAAAHHHHH!!!! MomEEEE! He called me a NAME!!!!!

That's what they want you to do. Hit "alert" instead. If you must reply, just say, "nice strawman, now knock him down."

2. No but I was openly called a homophobe
(which totally enraged me) for calling lieberman a pansy. I wonder if it's the same Mr.

Well that is a homophobic adjective
And you can call him much worse. For example -- Republican.

7. I learned that it was in some people's vocabulary
but I had never heard it used in a homophobic way, I equated it to a wimp. He however wouldn't take my word for it and pounded holy heck out of me for it. However, I have noticed he goes after anyone not in support of lieberman the "republican". ;-) lol

5. At least you didn't call him a girly-man
Wouldn't Lieberman have to be gay before you could be accused of a homophobe for not liking him. I just thought you were an anti-Semitic.

Just kidding.

He shows his asswipe head about twice a day. Must do it at work though, I don't see him on the weekends.

10. Sort of--had a troll stalking me
for some reason, a couple of my personal posts/threads set him off. He started teaming up with members (that aren't trolls/freepers, but DU bullies) to attack me. This went on for two consecutive days.

It was very weird. I couldn't understand what it was about me and what I was writing that set him off, or made him target me in particular.

Oh well,...

11. Don't you think the same young arrogant, criminal kids who
Edited on Sat Dec-24-05 08:09 PM by higher class
impersonated Dade County voters (by pounding on the door of a government building for the purpose of stopping the recount and succeeding) recruited other juveniles to disrupt here. The more DU is mentioned on TV or on blogs, the more they will attack.

These are unruly, dishonest hot heads who have probably recruited their fathers and uncles as well. (Why am I implying that the attackers are male? I don't know.)

They probably have Lee Atwater and Karl Rove and RUSH as in having a rush as their models.

12. Hit "alert" and send our great mods a note.
The favored tactic of disruptors seems to be to get you wondering if *you* have broken a DU rule, or in some way insulted the community.

fwiw

there is a v. popular poster who is not what he appears to be, unfortunately, in recognition of the rules & the fact that this person is supposedly a v. heavy contributor, i really can't say more

but i do know for a fact that at least one so-called pillar is not what he seems and will stab yr back just for fun

15. Favorite disruptor trick to assign some meaning to your
post that isn't there and it doesn't bother them how far fetched their accusations are.
