Progressives/liberals are often referred to, derisively, as "do-gooders" or "bleeding-hearts" and it got me to thinking. I would rather be a do-gooder than a do-badder and a bleeding-heart instead of a cold-heart.

So lets keep being do-gooders!

Happy Holidays!

4. some people on "our" side
do not like "do-gooders" either. The "other" side has their own bleeding heart do gooders, except their heart bleeds for the unborn and for the children exposed to pornography, violent video games, marijuana, and rock or rap music.

Perhaps their is common ground.

6. Thanks for this post, I have always wondered why it's so awful to be
a "do-gooder"!!! And what's the opposite of a "bleeding heart" - one that pumps ashes or is made of stone? I see that I have been "forced" to feel ashamed or less-than when I hear "do-gooders" bashed, but screw that!! I'm a do-gooder all the way, and proud to keep company with my pack o' bleedin' heart DU compatriots!
