7. I think he is asking for an impeachment committee

and from what I understand, he is going to get subpoena powers for that committee. This may be the best way to go. If the hearings can be drawn out over the next year, by then maybe we'll be rid of the Republican majority and there will be a real chance of impeachment.

You might want to check into that. As far as getting rid of the republican majority in the house; show me the plan to retake even a dozen seats much less the number we need to be an unbeatable majority since there are moderate Dems also.

And I'm surprised you're not aware of the democrats' plan to win back the House and the Senate!! For a Democrat you're not very informed. Glad you're here, though. Check out Dean's 50 state plan for starters. And check out the number of Republican Congressmen who may have to step down, let alone wait for an election, after the Abramoff affairs get going in the new year. One at least so far is in serious jeopardy, and then there's poor old Tom (I can't be held accountable for anything) Delay. Now that Kidan is talking, (and presumably Abramoff who said 'Delay is lying, they're all lying, they knew EVERYTHING) I think poor Tom has more to worry about than the Texas indictment.

This is going to be an interesting year! And yes, I think the House will be Democratic this time next year.
