USA is now the new Cuba?
Is this country slowly turning into what Cuba was in it's heyday? It is starting out with invasion into our private lives with wiretaps and library book checks.

George W. Bush will still be in office, thirty years from now. And hundreds of citizens will be crammed into rafts trying to flee.

1. Rafts? You can wade across the Rio Grande in summer
or cross overland to Canada, or even cross desert into Mexico, although you'd do well to take enough water for at least a five day trip.

Besides, if we're turning into Cuba, it's Cuba under Batista.

If we had Castro, we'd have healthcare and education.

2. Wouldn't that frost Castro's flakes?
If all of the sudden we had an American "Mariel" exodus to Cuba? I'm sure he'd be more graceful about it than the Americans were.
Our country's Cuba policy has to be changed. It hasn't worked, all it's done is harm innocent people but we insist on "staying the course" (there's that stupid phrase again) with a losing policy. Open trade with Cuba. I hardly think Americans are going to begin touting the advantages of Communism by returning to normalcy in trade with Cuba. I think the government of Cuba would fade faster if we would stop punishing the people of Cuba. Just a thought.

3. the U.S. @$$wipes are afraid to let us see what it's REALLY like
there.
We might see that it's NOT the hellhole they make it out to be.
In fact, from what I understand, it's a pretty nice place.
