In the context of discussing Iraq... He said we are safer because Iraq is going to be a democracy and democracies don't "war"?

This is so ironic on so many fronts. First off, we're supposed to be a democracy, and we've certainly waged plenty of "war".

Secondly, unless he believes we AREN'T a democracy, the statement makes no sense.

So basically, Iraq is safer because it's a democracy now and it won't wage war, and because we wage war, we must not be a democracy.

Yikes. The Fascists States of America just became official today.
