This is the original and the stories it has told while going scratch by scratch and blemish by blemish...

You go piece by piece looking for irregularities caused by time and abuse to find the way this young soldier was sometime close to Pearl Harbor. I didn't ask the history of the photo before hand, but I will.

Doing this has provoked unexpected emotions that I'm sure many of you here will share. I guess that's why I felt that if I posted it today, some of you might share the feelings evoked for you.
