computer help please
I want to uninstall quick time but I can't because the uninstall log is missing. It says

C\windows\system\quicktime\uninstall.log is missing.

I tried to download quicktime but it will not install cuz it says I have a later version. The later version is messed up.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks....

3. The one time I tried to uninstall it from mine, it warned me that to do so
"might" wreck my system.

I forgot the wording, but I conujured up a few choice words for Apple, who are as disrespectful towards Windows users as Microsoft is.

4. Do this.
Edited on Sun Dec-11-05 11:25 PM by MazeRat7
click start->run and enter regedt32 press enter.

5 windows will open (or you will get a tree listing) Find the one (window or folder) titled HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Click on the software folder and find the folder called Apple Computer, Inc.

Highlight the folder then select edit->delete from the menu bar.

Exit the program

Open your explorer (right mouse click on start->explore)

Navigate to C:\Program Files and highlight the folder called Quicktime

right mouse click on the folder and select delete.

Now download and install you new version of quicktime.

Good luck.

edit: Feel free to PM me if you get stuck.

5. Back in the old days you could
go into DOS, listfiles and delete it.

I have no idea if you can still do that... anybody know?

6. best solution
1) Upgrade by acceleration to 32ft/sec/sec from about 15ft.

2) Buy a G5 iMac.
