Greens versus non-voters

What is all this obsession about people voting for the Greens? About half of eligible voters do not vote in elections. On the other side of that, you have at a maximum 3-4% of people voting Green instead of Democrat. Why are DLC "new" Democrats so obsessed about getting rid of the Greens instead of reaching out to the disaffected, alienated 50%? Is it so they can then say, "we have to win, so we have to select a 'moderate' like Joe Lieberman?" I guess when you have a Green standing up for progressive, working class values, it's hard to make that argument.

I read the thing 4 times and I fail to see a point. All I get is garble and psycobabble.

instead of getting greens back in the party. I think they're actually only thing. If you get new voters to vote, it's probably because you're taking strong positions, many of which greens will like.
