Michael Ware on CNN, Refutting Rummys rosy picture of Iraq.
Edited on Mon Dec-05-05 07:31 PM by spanone
He's a Time Mag. correspondent.

Rumsfeld said the media isn't reporting on the positive aspects.

Saying Rumsfeld needs to go where the people live in fear every moment. He invited Rumsfeld to join them in the red zone.

Says the way the war is being fought right now, it can't be won.

1. he's the one Anderson Cooper had on the other night.
he said NO Iraqi troops are combat-ready on their own, and Wolfie actually confronted Sen Warner with that interview a few minutes later! Warner's response was telling. He didn't know what to say

couldn't believe it

13. Ware is a regular
on Morning Sedition. He was on with Mark and Marc about two weeks ago and said that he and a few other journalists met with Lieberman when he was in Iraq recently. Ware said while Lieberman was going on about the great things going on in Iraq, the journalists were looking at each other and saying either Lieberman is crazy and believes what he's saying or he's a liar. Ware said the journalists were saying that the Iraq Lieberman was talking about was unlike any country that they had ever been to. I think Ware is one of the few truth-tellers in the media.
