Bush et al has repeatedly told us that we as a country must maintain resolve in the pursuing the misadventure in Iraq. The mantra is that should we fail to do so we will demonstrate to the terrorist a lack of resolve that will only encourage future attacks.
Yet, this last week Bush blinked and retreated from the fight against terrorism. In the face of intensified whinnying by the airlines over the long lines at security and the niggling cost associated with increasing the numbers of security personnel, the Republicans true to form elected the dollar bill over American lives.
Once again here is proof that the Bush administration is not serious and considers the war on terrorism is a “phony war,” or, else the Republicans are “dollar wise and pound foolish.” Of course it could be both.
