It just came to me. You know how some high end vehicles are fitted with a GPS and an intercom system that can put you in direct contact with a private security firm, so if, heaven forbid, you find yourself in your car hanging upside down in a ditch, still strapped in by your seatbelt, that you can get help through the intercom? Well, what if we can add a feature on our cell phones so that they could pick up conversations within a ten foot radius? And somehow we'll know ahead of time where to mount it on the dashboard so it could listen in on the conversation with the highway Po-Po? We'll just hit a predetermined speed dial that could set up a party line to a friend AND to an answering machine that could record the entire conversation?

What do you think? I can't help noticing how caller ID has eliminated all the crank calls I use to get, why wouldn't a taped conversation of a traffic stop keep the officer honest?

1. Because DWB pull-overs alwas have a quasi-legitimate reason...

"You have a cracked rear view, sir. Could you step out of the car?"

"The light above your license plate was out. Keep your hands on the wheels."

And so on.

And furthermore, if it turns out that you're actually DWW, the officer can simply add that these infractions are minor, and he'll just give you a warning THIS TIME.
