Which of OUR Congressmen need to be retired?
I mean...not replace them with a pug (though some apparently are pugs in dem lapel pins). We have primaries for a reason. And we should be able to elect BETTER and more HONEST liberals than some.

Every time there is a thread with Lieberman in the title there is a hue and cry (which I agree with). So who in Connecticut can we run against him? Not someone simply to sabotage him. But someone to replace him and do better?

I'd say Joe Biden is another one who needs to just pack it back to the university world and stop his yapping. I might be more forgiving if he didn't vote opposite of his preaching every damn time or if he'd stop trying to run for president. But he won't. So I am not.

These are my two primary examples but I know there are more. I think we have to do more beyond just gripe about them though. We need to identify competent challengers (anyone in Connecticut know of one?) who could run. THEN we have to start supporting them nationally. We have to create an early awareness that there is a National movement to REPLACE these twits.

Then we get a double bonus. On one hand maybe we just replace the fools...but even in the meantime we apply a pressure they don't feel right now...and possibly they act a little better and shape up some for fear of losing their jobs. Something that currently I don't see Joe and Joe fearing at all.

2. McDermott - WA 7th
Maybe i'm ignorant, and Jim is a good liberal & all, but he's too quiet for my taste. He's been in office ever since i've arrived in town in 91, but other than the Gingrich phone call incident, or the "Bagdhad Jim" BS, he's not made many headlines or gained much power in the Dem leadership. He's "Seattle Nice".

Given the makeup of the 7th - the north half of Seattle including the university area - we could/should have a controversial, take-no-prisoners firebrand in the house - even a GREEN. hell, a Socialist is electable here.
