The American military has basically become peace keepers.
Peacekeepers caught between 3 big groups and who knows how many splinter groups all fighting for a piece of the pie. Peacekeepers with hairtrigger rules of engagement. The UN learned long ago you cannot peacekeep while the shooting is still going on. You become a target of all sides.

A better term would be TARGETS.
