As A Result Of Torture
Damn it...this is another reason why torture is the wrong way to go.
It's gonna make prosecuting these scum very difficult on the most important counts.

1. Ever wonder how far they're willing to go?
So many folks that I know support the torture. It kind of astonishes me. You know the ticking bomb scenario. But when you ask how far it should go, they get perplexed. Is it OK to dismember their children and make them watch? Umm.. problably not good .. How about shoving things in them from behind? Not so good either..

Who are these people?????

2. Torture is so short-sighted
Good gawd.
Some of best intelligence gathered, during WWII, was because we treated the German POW's better than they ever expected. In fact instead of seeing us a "devils", many of them ended up spilling their guts and asking to become USA citizens!

Surely a variation of this could be used for these times.
What are we after...valuable information for our security or visceral "revenge" that makes us less secure?

3. Good question
The worse things get in the war, the better things seem to get for them. A sudden outbreak of peace would cost them a lot...
