Anyone Else Here Go Through C-Span Withdrawl When Congress Is On Break?

I do. It has become the most addictive reality show on T.V. for me. When they are on break I feel a void. I know I can't just flip from C-Span to C-Span to get my daily dose and find myself wishing C-Span would run "Best Of" type House and Senate clips.

Funny. Years ago if someone told me I would find myself addicted to C-Span I woulda thought they were friggin nuts LOL

6. It's just awesome to see it live before the media can spin it.

I also can't access DU at work anymore, so the best I can do is to stream the SPAN!

(I'm home with a vacation day today though, so DU it is!)

but it's not as good as the live broadcasts. Remember when, during the time of the Clinton impeachment, Livingston (R-LA) admitted he'd had an affair! The house members were yelling and booing and being generally rowdy (sort of like the British House of Commons) and then BAM! BOMBSHELL! It was great! Another hypocritical Republican bit the dust. :)

10. Great programming in the breaks

Sometimes the breaks are better, depends. But there are alot of great round tables and speeches during the breaks. Don't just bag it because it's not Congress.

My DH & I were just talking the other day about how weird it is that we like C-Span better than almost anything else that's on too. The fact that TV is just so bad might have something to do with it too. And, of course, DU helps with the heads up to the good stuff too!!
