Michelle Malkin doesn't write her own blogs, her husband does

http://www.bopnews.com/archives/005490.html

Michelle Malkin and Co.

Awhile back I wrote a piece called 'Michelle Malkin and the Big Hustle' in which I traced Malkin's transition to a right-wing pundit and the cash that greased her move. She didn't make it on her own, she exists within a weird sort of right-wing money empire that seeks and promotes Malkin-like fake journalists.

On this note, Malkin admitted something today.

She had previously claimed that she does all her blogging herself with the aid of her insomnia, and nothing else. Adorable! She can't sleep, so she writes hate-filled screeds about the need to imprison minorities! Others have been skeptical about her supposed lack of aid in producing the content she does. Even though it's not very good, there's a lot of it.

Well it looks like she just admitted that she doesn't in fact write her own blog posts. Her husband "helped me with a handful of blog posts out of the estimated 3,000 I've written since June 2004." What is a handful? 10? 20? 100? 600? Since he in fact stopped working when her 'career took off', it must be quite a handful!

Oh, who knows? But she can't sleep and has to blog instead! Adorable! Even if she doesn't in fact write her blog!

I liked this part: "and the cash that greased her move"

6. Her new book is Cut and paste from her email and blogs....
When she was on C-SPAN she said she put left-wing blog comments and emails she recieved in her book. I haven't read her book and never will but it sounded like all she does is use other's writings in her book.

Hell I could write a book like that, the only problem is I couldn't get Newsmax and Scaife(sp?) to buy bulk orders and give them away for subscriptions to a blog.

9. You're right on target! I found this which completely supports your hunch:
Edited on Mon Nov-21-05 02:10 PM by Judi Lynn
Her first ambition was to become a concert pianist. Michelle enrolled in Oberlin, a small Ohio college with a respected performing music department. The town of Oberlin (pop 8,560) is located about 35 miles southwest of Cleveland, near the heart of a once mighty industrial region going to rust.
(snip)

Toward the end of her Oberlin career she signed on with an independent campus newspaper that was being started by a Jewish student named Jesse Malkin. Malkin would later become Maglalang's husband. He also had an immediate and lasting impact on Michelle's political views. Jesse Malkin had attended Berkeley High on Martin Luther King Boulevard in the town his future wife would later label “The People's Republic of Berkeley”. In addition to being a top student, Malkin was a distance runner who captained Oberlin's cross-country team. That combination, as well as his strong political views, helped him win a Rhodes scholarship to study for a year at Oxford University in England.

By the time Jesse Malkin started the newspaper, his conservative leanings had been well enough established for him to receive funding from an organization calling itself the Collegiate Network. The Network had formed in 1980 as a union of college newspapers funded by a neo-conservative group called the Institute for Educational Affairs (IEA). IEA had been founded in 1978 by Irving Kristol and William Simon, a leader of the modern neo-conservative movement. As Nixon's Treasury Secretary, Simon had shaped the administration's tax policy.
(snip)

Jesse Malkin's first assignment for his new Filipino American reporter was collaborating on an article denouncing Oberlin's affirmative action program. Fellow students found the article offensive and showed their displeasure to Malkin & Company.

That was a heck of a performance she put on that evening on Hardball. I was frankly surprised that Matthews confronted her instead of rolling over and agreeing with her on the interment of American citizens.

15. Michelle Malkin is an inspiration to bloggers everywhere.
The way I see it: If Michelle Malkin can have a top-ranked political blog, imagine how well my blog is going to do in the long-term.

:D

The bottom line is that liberals are better writers and thinkers. The only reason her blog has the status it does is because it is mentioned on corporate media.

It will soon drop, as quality material wins out in the long term.

21. The thing about Malkin
that gets me is she and her family are the recipients of the prejudice my parents received and the hard work that my parents did in the thirties and forties to overcome the racial stereotyping. It is my parents hard work that gave them a chance in the seventies and eighties. Like many good neocons they think only of themselves and that they earned the respect of the American culture. Little do they know where the respect was earned. I would love to confront her.

22. Rhodes Scholars........
As my neighbor, a Cambridge grad , told me years ago that Rhodes Scholars are evil fucks who are ramped up to push the elite adgenda. That includes our illustrious Bill Clinton. Look into it. It was set up by Cecil Rhodes who was one of the most shamelessly exploitive businessmen in the early 20th century.

26. I've known a couple of Rhodes Scholars
Both were thoroughly decent ducks. One's a distinguished lawyer and the other is a professor at the U of Illinois. Whatever Cecil Rhodes was has little to do with the realities of the Rhodes program today.

35. You said...
"As my neighbor, a Cambridge grad, told me years ago that Rhodes Scholars are evil fucks who are ramped up to push the elite adgenda."

There are two problems with the way you wrote it. If you had said "As my neighbor, a Cambridge grad, told me years ago, Rhodes Scholars are evil fucks who are ramped up to push the elite adgenda" then people might properly infer that you agree with your neighbor. (I left out the word "that.") If I said "As my neighbor told me, George Bush is a moron," you might assume that I agree.

If you had said "My neighbor told me years ago that Rhodes Scholars are evil fucks..." THEN you'd just be passing along what your neighbor said. We wouldn't know whether you agreed with it or not.

But you used "AS my neighbor told me," and the word "that" which is gramatically incorrect and may plausibly lead people to infer that you agree with your neighbor.

32. I looked into it. Rhodes Scholars go to Oxford.
I can see why a Cambridge man would have problems. I don't care for Cecil Rhodes, but his career was late 19th century. It's been a long time since the Boer War.

Kris Kristofferson was a Rhodes Scholar.
