2. Let him explain it.
Let him lay it out for us. Why are we in Iraq, George?

Because Iraq has WMD? Nope, that dog won't hunt.

Because Saddam is evil? We got him over a year ago.

Because Iraq and al Qaeda are buddies? Sorry, that's wrong too.

Because you want their oil? Bingo.

3. Explain it better? Too late.
He's already lost his audience. Polls indicate a majority now believe he intentionally misled this nation into war.

4. That's just what he used to say about social security
AND about talking other countries into joining the war- He just had to explain it, as though the ONLY reason anyone disagrees with him is because they just don't *understand* it yet.

5. Explaining is supposed to be a big part of the job.
A president explains his platform, ideas, policies, etc. If he can't do it, he is not much of a president. Oh, wait...!

6. That's their only trick. Spin. Just spin it better, George!
There is no reality, only interpertation and spin! Spin, George, spin!

8. These GOP asshats always think everything's a PR problem
They think if you dress up the tax cuts for the rich as: "Help for those who deserve it the most".
or
The invasion and occupation of Iraq as: "The central front of the war on terror".
or
Eliminating Social Security as: "reform and fine tuning".

That the public will buy into it, and everything will be fine.
This is why they employ "soundbite artists" like Karen Hughes.
