I hope the rest of the dems are paying attention to Murtha's treatment

Apparently he was always ready to side with the WH and repubes when he felt they were on the right track, and I doubt seriously that ANY democrat bad-mouthed him or tried to blackmail/threaten him into switching his votes over all that time...

the repubes were always ready to include him in a photo op or to sing his praises as "a democrat congressman who supports the republican agenda" and all he has to do to draw their fire is to dare to question them on a subject that HE is an expert on..

The right wingers are relentlessly "on message" all the time, ANYONE who disagrees with them is immediately a pariah, and deserving of mudslinging as onlt they can do.

Democrats who pretend to be moderate by agreeing with repubes, can expect no real gratitude from them. If they are expectiung a signed "signing picture with *²", they'll get it, but if they are planning to ask for consideration later on , on a bill THEY propose, forget it..

Repubes are the epitome of the jealous teenaged boyfriend. As .long as the girlriend does everything HE wants, in the WAY he wants it, and NEVER talks to anyone else, things are ok. But if he ever sees another boy even LOOKING at the girlfriend, no one is safe fropm retribution.
