17. Could you be more specific?
Talking about Wolfie? Jr.? Puffy McMoonface?

Or are you just spouting about any other Repuke talking head, say, Hannity?

24. JK - having a little fun
when you talk about a "stupid twit", it could mean a whole passle of Republicans - and I was just having a little fun at your expense.

I'm sorry if you thought I was being nasty . . .

4. Here's the quote
From an AP story just out on the wire:

“Congressman Murtha is a respected veteran and politician who
has a record of supporting a strong America,” said White House
press secretary Scott McClellan. “So it is baffling that he is
endorsing the policy positions of Michael Moore and the extreme
liberal wing of the Democratic Party.”

9. The imbeciles at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. have lost it completely.
Put a fork in Bush and Cheney. They are both overdone.

11. Am I missing something?
“Congressman Murtha is a respected veteran and politician who has a record of supporting a strong America,” said White House press secretary Scott McClellan. “So it is baffling that he is
endorsing the policy positions of Michael Moore and the extreme
liberal wing of the Democratic Party.”

Huh?

Does this mean that the 60% of the American people that oppose the Iraq War and want the troops home are part of the extreme liberal wing of the Democratic Party?

That's news to me... but 2006 should be pretty easy with that revelation!

12. Straight out of Limbaugh's playbook! Is Rove not being consulted?
This sounds 3rd-gradish. No way Rove would stoop to something so ridiculous. Stupid is something Rove is not.

22. Oh. No. They. Didn't.
You know what? Bring. It. On.

I'm starting to think it doesn't matter any longer what we do here at DU, DKos and beyond. He is going to take himself down. His mouth is his own shovel.

He and Dick will testify......and one day it will be under oath. They don't know how to do anything other than be phony and lie. Lie they have and lie they will. Shame they have brought. It's no longer in their hands. It's fate. And fate alone.

I now know it in my core. They will resign.

23. They are grasping for anything now
Obviously, they think that by throwing out the "Michael Moore" word, that people will back away from the stance of Congressman Murtha. How wrong and how desparate they are becoming. MM must be delighted to be referenced in a Whitehouse Press Release.

that's a "campaign" statement.

They're no longer in a position of leading, they're in a position of bleeding. (feel free to quote me on that one.)

21. It doesn't matter anymore. No one is paying attention to them.
This country doesn't trust them anymore. We haven't for a very long time.

WHIG and PNAC got away with blatantly doing things right in front of our eyes, and we've been here watching them every step of the way.

And finally, FINALLY, the rest of this country can't deny what the reality is anymore. They are beginning to see families in their communities being interrupted and changed.

27. They're incapable of reacting rationally to Murtha's statement.
bush's whole political career has been one of mud-slinging. He can't respond to Murtha's well-reasoned statement except to call him names. I think the public is finally starting to realize this.
