Are we supposed to feel sorry for *?
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 11:10 PM by TwoSparkles
Sorry for swearing, but look at this picture of "woe is me" Junior, as he hangs his head and looks oh-so solemn against that ominous sky.

What? Are we supposed to feel sorry for him.

Awwww...is the poor little fascist, torturer, lying, warmongering, undeserving little psychopath upset about the latest polls?

GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poll: Bush approval mark at all-time low

Monday, November 14, 2005; Posted: 9:08 p.m. EST (02:08 GMT)

The publics' view of President Bush's trustworthiness has slipped.
(CNN) -- Beset with an unpopular war and an American public increasingly less trusting, President Bush faces the lowest approval rating of his presidency, according to a national poll released Monday.

Bush also received his all-time worst marks in three other categories in the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll. The categories were terrorism, Bush's trustworthiness and whether the Iraq war was worthwhile.

Bush's 37 percent overall approval rating was two percentage points below his ranking in an October survey. Both polls had a sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points. (Watch: The last Bush Democrat? -- 2:02)

7. I Did, Too
"Limey" usually refers to British people, not Americans.

6. I agree....what exactly is he doing well?
I can't think of anything he's done a "good job" on lately.

I wonder about those 37 percent, so much so that I really can't buy that the number is that high.

I used to debate politics with the local Blockbuster. We had some spirited conversations, especially when I came in and purchased 10 copies of Fahrenheit 9/11. I just saw that manger last night--after not seeing him for more than a year. I said, "So, are you still as excited about the Bush Administration now?" He totally hung his head and said, "I guess all politicians are liars and we can't trust any of them."

This guy was bummed. Deflated. He was one of the die hards.

Maybe people just say they approve--because they don't want to "disapprove". It would be really difficult--if you were a die-hard partisan Republican--to answer "disapprove" in an official, national poll.

I'm sure that, at least half who say they "approve" are doing so because they know that if they disapprove it will help the Dems and make Bush look even worse.

I rarely meet a Bush supporter. Most of the W stickers are gone too.

9. I don't even know what the word means!
Are you guys kidding?

I just know "limey bastard" as an expression from Monty Python, The Young Ones and other British comedy shows.

I have NO IDEA what it means.

Seriously...is this offensive?

Sorry for being a dingbat--but I'm seriously ignorant about the meaning of the word "limey".

Maybe I should change the title to something else:

Miserable Bastard
Sociopathic Bastard
Clueless Bastard
Infantile Bastard
Warmongerng Bastard
PNAC-scum Bastard
Weasel Bastard
Pond-Scum Bastard

The possibilities are endless.

12. Wow, I feel like I just fell off the turnip truck...
I'm glad I can laugh at myself--and I hope others are as well.

I had no idea that "limey bastard" was insulting to anyone, or any group of people.

I've heard "limey bastard" on various British shows (Monty Python, The Young Ones, etc), and I had no idea of its meaning. I just thought it sounded funny.

I seriously thought it had something to do with a lime--the green fruit.

I apologize for offending anyone.

I guess I'm not too sharp tonight!

so why are you using this slur?

13. Man, you people are one tough crowd!
I had no idea it was a "slur"!

I feel terrible.

I would never slur someone.

I've heard the expression endless times--and I had no idea it was disparaging to any one group of people.

Sorry!

People do make mistakes.

I'll change the title of my post.

14. OK, I'M CHANGING THE TITLE OF MY POST...AND I APOLOGIZE...

I didn't know what the term meant, but now I do.

One poster said it was a "slur". Yikes.

I apologize for my ignorance.

20. don't apologise too much
the brits are actually a bit proud of the "limey" tag - most of them think it has a great deal to do with taking limes to sea to prevent scurvy. is that true? well, yes, limes at sea will prevent scurvy. did the the british navy discover this? who knows?

in any event, i think you were just having the piss taken out of you for using a brit phrase. (i also assumed you were speaking of poodle blair ;-) ).

anyway, in future, remember that the brits talk different than we do - they will knock you up when they come to your door, tootle you if they are waiting in your drive, be tickety-boo when all is well, and be a bit peckish when they are hungry.

p.s. - it was not a "slur" except upon all the limeys that hope to be bastards ;-)

24. Little Sympathy Here--Buckaroo Bush Earned His Bottom
I've little sympathy for Buckaroo Bush. He got people to vote for him by falsely claiming to be a moderate and by falsely claiming to be a uniter, not a divider. He continued to operate much as he did in Texas--talk like a moderate while governing as a right-winger. He was asleep at the switch on 9/11/2001. then, having routed the taliban out of Kabul, he botches the job of running them out of the rest of Afghanistan. Then he sits back while his underlings trash the patriotism of the Democrats who lined up to support the war effort. Then Buckaroo fabricated reasons to invade Iraq, and has botched the job there. Having done all that, he trashed the patriotism of a real war hero.

Buckaroo Bush is now facing the consequences of his actions as more of the bamboozled are awakening to their being swindled--and he wants sympathy?

As it says in that Book of Books Buckaroo Bush supposedly reads--"...So as ye sow, so shall ye reap..."
