i can get up on my high horse and talk about his opinions on this issue or that issue or his general political slant or whatever. and those are perfectly fine reasons, and we constitute the language in which the debate will be conducted.

but none of those are the real reason why we must filibuster alito.

WE MUST FILIBUSTER ALITO because we must flex our muscles.

WE MUST FILIBUSTER ALITO because it is a necessary application of the power our party has to oppose the actions of an immoral president with a 37% approval rating.

WE MUST FILIBUSTER ALITO because failure to do so is to give shrub a gift that he doesn't deserve.

WE MUST FILIBUSTER ALITO because this will force the banana republicans to start listening to the democrats instead of steamrolling over us.
