Has anyone else heard that Rush popped pills on TV

If you are taking as many pills as Rush was taking then it has to be true.
Did anyone tape Rush when he was on TV? Someone at my College told me that he was eating the pills like candy. Is that true?

Wouldn't you vomit if you ate the pills like candy.



(Damn, one time I ate one of my Mom's pain pills by accident. She had candy corn right next to her darvocets and I popped one in my mouth and started to eat it and I vomited immediatly)

Unless he's gotten used to the taste of crunching up the pills in order to have them hit faster and stronger.

Since he's into Oxy's he COULD be crushing them up and snorting them like coke. I've heard that's how hard core addicts take it. Some will even mainline boot it after mixing it into some watter. Ewwwwww.

2. One of my Friends and I wanted to get high one time

We took one of my moms tuinals and mixed it in some pop and we vomited from it.

Although I have to admit I've chewed up a couple Xanax before just to have them impact all at once. Terrible taste but you deal with it, it's only a temporary thing.

he probably needed enough to kill you or I just to feel normal. Of course he was taking them on the days he was on TV, it's not like you can just skip a day when you don't want to be high.

13. Addiction

I had a very good friend of mind who became addicted to pain medication after an operation, so I can easliy see how it could happen. It wasn't something she wanted to do, you could hardly get the girl to take an aspirin for a headache. But, the paid was so intense. I cried for her so. She ended up going to a treatment center to detox, and today she is able to manage though the few days she has extreme pain.

I don't agree with Rush on the issues, but I have no desire that someone suffer, nor will I spoop to the level of those who belittle people with whom they have political differences as I have read on several threads here at DU. I just don't see how hate will solve any issue or how ranting will make the world a better place. Our energies need to be directed in more positive areas.

We are all entitled to our opinions, and Rush is entitled to his, and people who listen to him should have the right to do so without ridicule. As a fellow human being who has had someone close to them suffer through the pain of addiction, I wish him the best.

14. Did your friend make her other friends get her drugs for her?

I am on disability for pain and the largest amount of pills that I have popped in the past has been around 5 pills per day.
Come one Rush is a junkie and he messed his housekeeper up pretty bad.
I bet her threatened her life if she didn't come through for him.
