90 Iraqi army batallions...There he goes again
They may be fighting alongside us, but how many are combat-ready to stand on their own two feet so that we can leave? One? That's a wanton exaggeration of Iraq's military contribution to the anti-insurgency campaign.

2. the Syria border operation had 3000 US troops
and 500 Iraqis, if they are telling the truth. I think that says it all.

7. they corrected it
Cnn was reporting 1000 yet I was seeing on CNNI and BBC 500 or less. In written reports I saw the 500 number and thought it odd. Later in the day CNN started reporting the 500 number. Well after the 1000 Iraq Troops is embedded in the meriKan brains.

3. Baloney
Bush probably thought the ARVN was an elite fighting force. The Iraqi Army should never have been disbanded.

4. Anybody think anyone has had the balls to tell him the truth?
I don't.

He has his yes men and sycophants feed him nice, happy, friendly, positive 'facts' so he can feel good about his Chimpsterness.
