Bill Bennett identifies troubling new phenomenon: "Gangsta Islam"

when he introduced that term, "Gangsta Islam" on his radio show this morning, at first I thought it was stupid. I thought he was talking about a bunch of things he knew nothing about: France, rap music, Islam, etc.

I thought he had just skimmed two stupid columns by two right-wing morons, David Brooks (writing about how rap is to blame for the France riots) and Tony Blankley (about how Islam is to blame), and then just put them together stupidly.

But then he used a term that really impressed me. He said the riots were due to the "toxic confluence" of Gangsta rap and Islam.

In addition to using that impressive, scientific-sounding term, he also asked his little lickspittle producer "Seth" what he thought of his idea. "Seth" so enthusiastically praised his master's brilliant thought I now think there must be something to "Gangsta Islam", as stupid as it might sound.

Also, Bennett has a Ph.D.
