Gen. Wes Clark has claimed that US
has a "professional Army".

Having watched the Italian TV exposure of the animal like behaviour of members of the US Army (bullies and cowards as well) and maybe this extract (taken from the Raw Story site) can be read in its true context

But is Gen. Clark "man enough" to admit he is wrong?

Remember the DU hero Paul Hackett was there in this! Will he come clean?

Not likely!

http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Powell_expressed_reticence_on_prewar_intelligence_1109.html

John Pike, Director of GlobalSecurity.org, a Washington-based military research group, said the evidence was grossly inaccurate and poorly constructed.

“They didn't understand how weak it was,” Pike said. “In the sense that those idiots at Army intelligence never got around evaluating the diameter of aluminum tubes relative to the artillery rockets that Iraq had. That was an elementary blunder in tradecraft.”

“If you read the WMD intelligence report, the incompetence, the ineptitude, and the breaches of elementary tradecraft were just so pervasive that you just want to drive up to some of these buildings and clean them out with a firehouse,” Pike added. “You really have to wonder what these people do for a living. Because they're just so incompetent.”

I am not even taking into the army's version of the "Saving Private Luynch", "Twisting of the Pat Tilman Friendly Fire story", Abu Ghraib - need I add more, Guantanamo Bay, Gen Myers of New Orleans ("Myers claimed that “most of the papers” carried that headline on Tuesday (Dodged the bullet), and that the Defense Department’s response to Katrina was developed with “those words…in our minds” - I have not found a single paper that carried this headline!), Downing Street Minutes, the attacks on Iraq before declaration of war, etc. etc.

Do not blame this on the political scene - it is the story of the compliance of a non-professional army of sycophants.

1. This is a remarkably stupid post
and betrays a staggering lack of basic understanding as to how a civilian-controlled military functions, especially here.

Wow.

Kudos, dude. You've pissed on soldiers the day before Veteran's Day while simultaneously vaulting yourself into the DU Gibberish Hall of Fame.

You saved me from making a fool out of myself (again). I tend to let my passion overcome my good sense (or lack thereof). I will simply agree with what you said & leave it at that.

2. What do Gen. Clark and Paul Hackett have to do with the WHIG's agenda
of attacking and occupying Iraq?

5. Locking.
Please refer to the DU rules concerning inflammatory posts:
