I'm sick and tired of calling Reid's invocation of Rule 21 a "stunt"
Edited on Mon Nov-07-05 07:38 PM by CatWoman
a "stunt" is landing on the USS Lincoln, dressed in genital hugging military attire, proclaiming "Mission Accomplished".

a "stunt" is flying to DC under cover of night in order to sign legislation designed aimed exclusively toward a brain damaged blind woman.

a "stunt" is crying that a judge donated money to a candidate of his choice renders him incapable of being fair toward your case.

you catch my drift.......

2. A stunt is what the repukes pulled off when they impeached a legally
elected President for 'lying' about sex. That was a stunt.

3. Do you think dressing up like a fighter pilot and landing on an
aircraft carrier with a "Mission Accomplished" banner (that you absolutely know nothing about) do you think that might be called a "stunt"? Particularly when it costs umpteen thousands of unnecessary dollars when you could have helicoptered in as usual or given the speech on land, but just couldn't pass up the old photo-op? Which one is the more stuntlike? (Clue - it's the one that involved costumes)Which one costs more taxpayer dollars? Which one looked more like a Pepsi ad?

7. What do you think stunt means?
I looked it up and here's what I found.

stunt
noun
A great or heroic deed:
achievement, exploit, feat, gest, masterstroke, tour de force.
See action.
A clever, dexterous act:
feat, trick.
See ability, excite, good.

No, I wasn't about to say "It depends on what your definition if stunt is!" :)

I don't see a stunt as being bad, but something unexpected, and what the Dems did sure was UNEXPECTED! If that made Frist think he was slapped in the face, GOOD! That was the intent!
